  • Overview


    $500.00 signing bonus at 90 days.

    This position will support the welding production of valve products.  Must also weld metal components together with brazing and variety of arc/gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair components such as machined parts and/or plant equipment. 


    Weld metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing or any combination of arc welding technologies.


    Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting, grinding, and tig & blend repairs of broken or cracked parts, to fill holes, and blend to conformance.


    Heats, positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.


    Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization's goals and values.


    Judgement - Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.

    Education and/or Experience                                                   


    High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.


    One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.  Individual must agree to be tested and judged on their welding capabilities, prior to acceptance into or additional training to the department.


    Language Skills                                                


    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.



    Mathematical Skills                                                      


    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


    Computer Skills                                                


    Email capabilities, Epicor knowledge is a plus.



    Other Qualifications                                                     


    Formal or informal experience welding in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW or SAW environments.
